DESCRIPTION
Buriano is a little village located upon the green hills of Montalbano in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, far away from the noises of the cities.
Here you can find la Rocca , a holiday house divided into several self-catering apartments, all restored in the traditional Tuscan style, using stone and wood.
In each accommodation the antique style blend perfectly with the modern facilities.
Apartment facilities include air conditioning, central heating, well-equipped kitchen and satellite TV and the structure has also an Internet Access Point.
In the ancient basement of the structure there is the cellar, where you can find typical local products, that you can buy as a holiday souvenir.
La Rocca is the perfect place for open air and nature lovers, because here you can spend a relaxing and well being oriented vacation.
In fact La Rocca del Maestrino can offer to the guests fully equipped outdoor spaces: the garden with the comfortable sun beds and the hammock and the panoramic terrace, where you can spend time relaxing and enjoying the breathtaking view of Pistoia all the way to Florence.
Moreover during the summer you can take a refreshing bath in the panoramic pool surrounded by the peaceful and pleasant green of the Tuscan hills.
We are close by the woods and this allows beautiful walks on foot, by bicycle or horse back riding.
At the same time the holiday house is located close to the main tourist locations in Tuscany, such as Florence, Pisa, Pistoia, Montecatini Terme and Lucca. So our guests can add a cultural and gastronomic holiday to the relaxing one.
We will receive you in a simple atmosphere with a homely welcome. We personally take care of every details and we are at your complete disposal during your stay.
Cooking lessons, visits to local farmhouses with typical product tasting, excursions through the pathways of the Montalbano hills, bicycle rental and guided tours to the most important places of Tuscany can be organized on request.
La Rocca is located in Buriano, a little village on the green declivities of the Montalbano Hills, surrounded by a charming countryside with its olive-trees and vineyards.
The Oil and Wine Road of the Montalbano, called “Le Colline di Leonardo” (Leonardo’s Hills), runs just along the streets of these territories.
The position of the structure is very beautiful because it is situated in a quiet area, far from the noises of the cities, where our guests can find relax, but at the same time from here you can easily reach a lot of tourist locations in Tuscany: we are about 20 minutes by car far away from the Motorway A11 called Florence – Pisa Nord.
Moreover in front of the apartments there is a big fully equipped terrace, overlooking a wonderful panorama of the surrounding area, from Pistoia to Florence, and the new panoramic swimming pool.
The structure is completely new (we opened in January 2006) but the antiquity and the beauty of the existent building, made wholly with stones, is respected and every change, made during the restructure, has been done in complete respect of the original structure.
APPARTMENTS
La Rocca is composed of self-catering apartments. Each apartment is furnished in a Tuscan style.
Apartment facilities include Satellite Tv, air conditioning, central heating and kitchen.
In the common area there is a washing-machine.
ANNEXE:
it is a completely independent two-bedroom apartment and it sleeps up to 6 people.
It has two double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower and a big sitting-room with a well equipped kitchen (in this apartment there is also the dishwasher), and a double sofa bed.
This apartment has also a small private garden.
GELSO - GIUGGIOLA - CORBEZZOLO - MELOGRANO:
they are one-bedroom apartments and they sleep up to 4 people.
These apartments are composed of a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a sitting-room with a well equipped kitchen and a sofa bed for two people.
LARICE:
it is a two-bedroom apartment on two floors and it sleeps up to 6 people.
On the ground floor there are a double bedroom and a small sitting-room with a sofa bed for two people and the TV.
On the first floor there are a living-room with a well-equipped kitchen (there is also the dishwasher) and another double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with shower.
SERVICES
The structure has also an ancient and a precious basement, where we can organize local wine and food tasting.
Nearby La Rocca there are simple pathways in the luxury wood of the Montalbano Hills, that go to important and characteristic places such as Vinci, Carmignano and Artimino.
These pathways can be used for trekking or mountain-bike excursions or horse back riding.
We can see to the mountain bicycle rental or we can organize the guided horse riding excursions.
