This splendid hotel was founded in the early '50s, on the site of a small fishing village, by the Genoese aristocrat Paolo De Ferrari, after he fell in love at first sight
with Biodola's fine pink-tinted sand, its deep blue, crystal-clear sea, the heart-wrenching beauty of the bay and its uncontaminated natural setting.
The Hotel stands amidst the rich Mediterranean maquis, surrounded by strawberry trees, holm oaks and lentiscus, nowadays a protected area within the Tuscan Archipelago Park.

are held on Saturday evenings, rediscovering the fishermen's tradition of cooking freshly-caught fish
around a large bonfire on the beach.
